Mooncast (operated by 深圳合势必科技有限公司, "we") provides AI-assisted entertainment readings across Tarot, Western Astrology, Bazi, and Ziwei Dou Shu. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to mooncast.vip and its localised paths.
1. What we collect
- Account data — email address (or +86 phone number, where available) used for sign-in, plus optional display name.
- Reading inputs — birth date / time / place / gender you enter to generate a chart, and any free-text question you submit. Birth data is treated as sensitive personal information.
- Reading outputs — the computed chart and AI prose, stored against your account so you can revisit them.
- Operational data — IP address (hashed before storage for anonymous rate-limiting), browser user-agent, and request logs retained briefly for abuse detection and debugging.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the reading you requested and save it to your account.
- To send your sign-in email or SMS code (no marketing).
- To enforce daily quotas and prevent abuse.
- To improve service reliability via aggregated, non-identifying logs.
We do not sell your data. We do not train AI on your data. We do not send marketing email unless you explicitly opt in.
3. Third parties we share with
- Supabase — authentication and database (EU/US region; processor under our control).
- DeepSeek — AI inference. Your chart data and (if you provided one) your question are sent for the duration of the request; per DeepSeek's terms, API traffic is not used to train models.
- Vercel — hosting and request logs.
- Aliyun SMS — only when you choose phone sign-in; we send the verification code through Aliyun's SendSms API.
4. Retention
Account and reading data stays until you delete it. You can remove individual readings from your account page, or request full account deletion (see Section 6). Hashed-IP rate-limit rows are purged after seven days.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in (Supabase session). No analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (GDPR, China PIPL, CCPA where relevant) you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information. Use the in-app account controls or email support@mooncast.vip and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
Mooncast is for adults. Do not use the service or submit anyone else's birth information if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (16 in most of the EU; 14 in mainland China).
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our cloud providers. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password / verified email for sign-in.
9. Changes
We will update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes materially. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
